I am a native German and came to the US about 7 yrs. ago.
Since then I have worked in various jobs, including teaching. I have worked as the 8th grade lead teacher at a private school. There, I was in charge of the German elective as well. I taught Art in a non-profit organization working with people with disabilities. I also volunteered at the International Institute of RI teaching ESL to newly arrived refugees. Currently I am a substitute Teacher.
I have a Masters in Special Education. While studying at the university of Cologne I received my diploma in healing pedagogy, my main area was Art Therapy.
Through my studies I believe in self-empowerment and feeding on the resources of a person rather than working on the weaknesses.
