Let me begin by thanking you for taking the time to review my profile. I graduated from York College of Pennsylvania with a Bachelors of Science degree in Elementary Education. Currently, I am employed as a substitute teacher for Dallastown Area School District, Red Lion Area School District, York Suburban School District, and Central York School District. In addition, I tutor math and reading for all ages at Sylvan Learning.
My educational philosophy is that it is our obligation as educators to ensure that each of our students has the opportunity to be an active participant and contributor in an engaging, safe, and student-centered environment. Each student should be motivated, encouraged, and challenged to meet their full potential. I believe that through tutoring students it is possible to fulfill this philosophy and help students through individualized attention.
I believe that learning should be a fun and creative experience. Therefore, I incorporate methods and techniques in my teaching that allow for students to be engaged and interested in what they are learning.
