My passion for art started at a young age. In middle school, I was given an assignment to do a seasonal painting. I choose to do a scene from Hibernia Park in Chester County. It was entered into a show at a local supermarket. The school started to get calls from customers of that store to purchase a print. My parents were very excited for me and very supportive. We took it to someone who worked with artists to make prints. 100 prints sold within 2 months. My confidence and love for painting took off. I attended Kutztown University and was able to continue to showcase work in many exhibitions. The next chapter for me was going to graduate school and receiving my MFA from Penn State. My passion included teaching. I gained experience at Penn State University setting teaching freshman courses. My areas of expertise include: painting, printmaking, photography and drawing. I continue to participate in gallery shows, exhibitions, teaching engagements while working on new work. I would love to help other students one on one as they build their skill level and understanding of how to position themselves for success in the art world. If students are preparing portfolios, I can be of great assistance.
