Credentials: I have been tutoring for more than a year and have helped students with German and history. I have a long record of academic success. I was my high school's valedictorian and graduated with the highest GPA in my major - International Relations - from the University of Delaware in 2010. In 2012 I earned my Master's degree from Georgetown University and am currently serving as an editing and teaching assistant for an English and Communications professor at Delaware County Community College.
More importantly, I love to learn and discuss new material. This is the key to academic success. I am constantly reading and challenging myself with new ideas. I am best suited for helping with: writing, political science, history, and German, but I am also pretty well versed in economics, linguistics, philosophy, religion, and math and science (at least through the high school level - have not looked at chemistry or physics in years).
Tutoring style: That is really up to you. If you would like me to be very involved I can make flash cards or vocabulary lists or tests and quizzes to rehearse the material. I can also be a relaxed tutor and simply answer questions or explain whatever it is you are not quite understanding. If you are a visual/tactile/auditory or whatever kind of learner, I can do my best to meet your learning style.
Miscellaneous: I do have a car. I would prefer not to travel more than 15 miles beyond West Grove, PA, 19390. I will travel further, but I will ask for $5 more per session to cover the cost of gas. About myself though, I am a laid-back person who loves to learn and discuss anything under the sun. I want to be the tutor you need, whatever kind that is.
Okay I hope to hear from you soon!
