I am an avid proponent of lifelong education and worked hard to achieve at a high level throughout my academic endeavors. A graduate of Penn State (BA Psychology) and Villanova University (Master in Counseling), I enthusiastically engaged in opportunities such as studying abroad, serving as a teacher's assistant for an Introductory level course of 100 students, facilitating group workshops, founding program-specific clubs, and working as a Graduate Assistant, where responsibilities included research as well as recruitment and advisement of prospective students. I am a licensed school counselor and a nationally certified counselor.
Over the course of my career I have developed effective strategies and tools for content learning, study strategies, and test-taking skills. I understand that students have different learning styles and taking an individualized approach with students can make all the difference in their level of success. I am available to assist students of all grades levels with certain subject specific tutoring, though I am most passionate about helping students with college preparation and career exploration. I believe it is never too early to start having discussions about long-term goal planning. I would love an opportunity to education your student and family about the college planning process and offer assistance as your student navigates this sometime daunting process.
