I am Steve F., M.D., Ph.D. in medical oncology, MS in Bio-statistics. I currently work at biostatistician. I am also tutoring the statistics, SAS. The students and professionals I have tutored include the medical students, Ph.D. epidemiologist, senior finance consultant, etc.
I have conducted statistical data analysis at TJU. I manage the clinical data base in the lab by using SAS procedure, SQL and SAS macros. I independently conducted the statistical analysis for the grant application and publication; three grants of them were approved. Thus I am expert at SAS programming, and SAS procedure to complete data analysis such as Proc ttest, Proc Freq, ANOVA, GLM, Mix, Proc logistic, Proc Genmod, Proc Glimmix, and Proc gplot. With my advanced genetic knowledge, I have completed 33 SNPs data analysis over 402 colon cancer patients by using logistic model and Cox model and KM method, and we have identified several potential useful SNPs that can better predict the survival of colon caner.
My interest in tutoring can be tracked back to 15 years ago when I was a resident doctor in Shanghai Ganquan Hospital and I gave instructions to many interns. I was their preferred instructor since I excellently explained and bridged between the textbooks and real cases, so am I for the students and professionals in the Greater Philadelphia. I initially focused on the basic medicine and worked in UCSD, Brown University, North Carolina State University and Thomas Jefferson University; thus I have had the opportunity to instruct many talented undergraduate and graduate students in the fields of basic medicine, molecular biology, general chemistry, advanced genetics, biochemistry, etc. Now my interest is focus on the clinical research, specifically clinical data analysis. I will therefore want to devote myself to the young students who want to achieve the higher level in statistical and other relevant fields.
