I graduated from Arcadia University's Honors Program with an M.A. in International Business. During this time I built on my interests in Economics, Finance, Anthropology, Marketing and Languages. My Spanish is fluent and native to Spain.
I have significant experience helping individuals learn new concepts and building situations where they are inclined to retain the material. For example, for a Spanish lesson on the past tense, we would review the material, do activities that the student is familiar with (writing, drawing, standing, sitting, etc.), and then talk about it in the past tense. Once we can think about it without worrying about rules (unless absolutely necessary), we would go back to the assignment to understand how to apply what we know to what is asked. Of course if the student were a visual learner, or just wanted to learn for fluency, the lesson would be approached much differently.
Education is something that has fascinated me for a long time, and I have researched teaching methods as well as working closely with educators in the community.
