Bonjour! I am extremely passionate about the French language and culture! I am thrilled to have the honor and privilege of sharing this passion with my students both at the school where I teach and in the community. Learning another language should be fun, and I incorporate this philosophy in my teaching and curriculum. As a mother of 3, I have been teaching and tutoring French for over 12 years. My qualifications include: an undergraduate degree in French, an MBA with a concentration in international marketing from Villanova University; a semester abroad in Paris (l'Université de NY à Paris). I am also on the Executive Council of the Phila. chapter of the AATF (American Assoc. of Teachers of French); and I have received the DALF (Diplôme Approfondi de Langue Française) issued by the French Ministry of Education.
My approach to tutoring is to build confidence in the student's ability to master the French language through extensive practice and review. New material and grammar concepts are introduced such that when this same material is taught in the classroom, it is a review and reinforcement. This method has proven very effective. I look forward to the opportunity of helping you strengthen your French language skills while exploring the francophone world!
