My name is Alexander, but please call me Alex. I am 39 years old. I was born in the Soviet Union in 1973, and had been living in the United States since 1987. I served in the United States Army for seven years, in the 1990s. I have a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History from the University of Maryland, Master of Arts Degree in History from West Chester University, Master of Arts Degree in the Holocaust and Genocide Studies from West Chester University, a Master of Education Degree from Temple University, and a certificate in paralegal studies from the PJA school. I am fluent in Russian (native language) and English. I worked as a camp counselor at the YMCA in the summer of 2008, taught elementary school children to improve their reading skills from November 2008 to February 2009, taught English as a Second Language to the Russian immigrants in 2010, taught Social Studies at West Philadelphia High School, substituted for various schools, and am currently teaching English, and recently taught Russian, at the Berlitz Language Center in Philadelphia. I have a roommate who is mentally disabled; I lived with him for more than three years, and taught him skills that are helpful in life. As a tutor, I will show every bit of dedication to my students and will help them acquire new skills. All of my students had been very happy with me. A number of references from my professors and former employers are available.
