My experience instructing English language learners (ELL)has taught me to expect the best of my students. I encourage them with reasonable, but high expectations. I am a steady manager of each tutoring session. Although my Pennsylvania teaching certificate lists English, Sociology, Spanish, and Program Specialist-ESL, my passion is teaching ELL. My students-from Africa,Asia, and Central America-have been uniquely teachable and fascinating to me. My own education in this wonderful subject continues on the graduate level every summer.
