Art Theory

I have my Bachelor's Degree in Art from Albright College. I have taken classes in Sculpture, Watercolor, Painting, Printmaking, Design, Life Drawing, Drawing, and History of Modern Art, as well as Arts Administration.

English

I have always been a good English student throughout my years of schooling. At Albright College, I have written for on-campus publications as well.

ESL/ESOL

I have experience tutoring non-native Spanish-speaking adults with the English language. This included speaking, writing, listening, and reading practice.

Reading

I am a native English speaker, and have written for on-campus publications at Albright College, serving as the Art Editor for one of them. I need to use my reading skills as a Spanish tutor as well.

Spanish

I have a BA in Spanish and Art from Albright College. I have been a Spanish tutor at Albright for 3 years, and I have also studied abroad in Barcelona, Spain and Cuenca, Ecuador.

Study Skills

Being a graduate of Albright College, I definitely established some study skills that I can incorporate into my tutoring sessions. I have had to manage class, work, and extracurricular activities for 4 years (while maintaining top honors!). Study skills includes reading textbooks efficiently, making the most of note-taking, and scheduling time for studying (and relaxation).

Vocabulary

I have a solid, expansive, and varied vocabularly, mostly due to schooling and my love of reading! Always willing to help anyone else out!

Approved Subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet certified in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
