I graduated Temple University with a degree in Bachelor of Architecture [1986 Grad] and worked in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania area for more than two decades. My love for ART has never left my inner desires. I always loved Visual Arts and expressed my feeling and emotion through it, if not with pen and ink - paint or brush, I tried my computer and it's mouse to say what I wanted to say and more. As a continuing education student, I attended Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts and Philadelphia University of the Arts, taking evening classes and various Live Portrait, Oil Painting Composition, and Pastel Drawing courses during my Summer breaks from work to enhance my oil painting abilities.
I would like to share my experience with you. This Tutorial opportunity will give me a chance to keep up with what I love to do; And, grow further with younger or older students. I am looking forward to meet students who share similar dreams and aspirations in the Visual Arts. I am into representational Art, I liked the Renascence Impressionists Expressionists Cubists and little shy on Modern Abstracts. I believe that any two dimensional art work, no matter how well executed in it's subject, and in whatever medium it is presented, can easily "fail", simply by lacking a well studied basic composition, disciplined execution and solid subject in mind. A successful work of art will not only attract viewers interest visually, but it should also "come out of the surface" and be vibrant and dynamic in color and full of "movement".
If you share my views and have love to paint outdoors or indoors; If you love to explore watercolor or even charcoal and pastel, let me be your Tutor. We can start at your convenient time and place. Group or individual meetings. Growing up in the Middle East I attended quite many art academies in my youth, and I know how intimidating the first steps can be. My Armenian culture and heritage has taught me to appreciate art and see how it can open many links and cross many bridges. Let us cross one together.
Sincerely,
Vahe'A.
