Math Tutor for Secondary and College Students

I have 2 years experience teaching all subjects of high school math including Algebra I, Remedial Math, Algebra II, Geometry, Precalculus, and Calculus. I am also Kaplan trained in SAT test prep for Math. My dynamic and straight-to-the-point teaching style has been highly successful among my students.

My degree in Mathematics/Computer Science involved a rigorous study of upper-level mathematics courses including many not included or required in most Mathematics degrees. Among these are Graph Theory, Complex Variables, and Topics in Advanced Mathematics.

I also have 3.5 years experience as a conservatory trained jazz guitarist at the Purchase Conservatory of Music.

Ear Training

In my senior year of high school, I completed ear training I and II through Berkelee College of Music. I then attended Purchase Conservatory of Music for three and a half years, completing their full Ear Training course. Some of the topics covered include Polychords, Full Solo Dictation, Atonal Singing and Dictation, Interval Studies, and Chord Quality Recognition.

Guitar

I attended 3.5 years at Purchase Conservatory of Music for Jazz Guitar Improvisation. While enrolled, I completed Jazz Repertoire I-VII, Ear Training I-IV, Private Lessons, Jazz Arranging, Keyboard Studies, Small Group Ensemble, as well as many others. I also have 10 years experience gigging around the Pocono and New York City area. I also have experience playing blues, rock, funk, hip-hop/r&b, fusion, free jazz, and show tunes.
