My name is Michele and I have been teaching middle school students General Science and Earth and Space Science at Abington Junior High School.
A key part of adolescence is education, but also self discovery and socialization. I believe that my background in psychology is instrumental in helping me understand and guide kids through this part of their journey. My undergraduate degree in this field led me to develop my own research study working with the chairperson of the department at West Chester University, Dr. Sandra Kerr.
In addition, the courses I completed through Penn State University's Masters in Leadership Program, were instrumental in developing my skills as a leader in the community as well as a teacher.
My past professional experience in the pharmaceutical industry helps me bring real life experience to the classroom. I thoroughly enjoyed my time in the corporate realm, but now I feel that I can finally reach my true potential by unifying my love of children with my desire to educate them in the world of science.
For these reasons I feel that I would be a great tutor to any student that chooses to welcome me. My spirit and determination set me apart from others, both in tangible and intangible ways. I'm a dedicated individual with strong goals both in my career and in my life. I truly hope that you will find my enthusiastic nature and strong commitment to education a reason to learn more about how I can become a valued part of your student's success!
