I went to Shippensburg University for undergrad, where I received my B.S. in Elementary Education with a concentration in mathematics in May 2005. I received my Master's from Cabrini College in May 2011. I'm currently a middle school math teacher in Philadelphia and have been doing this for the past 5 years. While teaching in Philadelphia has been challenging, it has been rewarding because I have been able to use my skills and knowledge to deliver the math curriculum. During my first year of teaching in Philadelphia, my students’ proficient and advanced scores on the PSSA went from 20% to 44% in 7th grade and from 13.8% to 33.3% in 8th grade. I enjoy teaching middle school math very much, especially algebra. I look forward to having the opportunity to work with you.
