My name is Jessica. I have a B.S. of Professional Studies with a concentration in Nursing and Psychology. I graduated from Misericordia University in May 2011. I have worked in the hospital setting, and I know how the brain works! Although I decided not to pursue a career in nursing specifically, I have learned through many courses strategies for learning the material and medications. Through my college career, I also found an interest in history and the history of fine arts. I can teach basic math in relation to dosage calculations.
I myself have struggled with test taking. My problem was not the information, but the test itself. I have learned many strategies, some that worked and some that didn't, to deal with this. I have learned many ways to remember the information for harder undergraduate courses that would have been great to know in high school. I graduated high school with decent grades and frequently helped my younger brothers with their homework. I love to teach, and I am great with children of all ages. I can make the material more fun and interesting to learn! I am creative and willing to cater to the individual needs of the learner. I also have the knowledge and patience to work with children with learning disabilities.
Also, I knit, crochet, and cross-stitch. I am self-taught and can teach not only stitches, but also where to start and how to read patterns!
