I am a Spanish and ESL tutor with two Masters degrees and ESL certification. I specialize in English or Spanish grammar and literature. I have 33 years experience and am a enthusiastic, creative, and passionate Spanish/English educator, mentor and advisor who believes that students of all ages can learn Spanish/English. My specializations include: teacher, Foreign Language Department Chairperson, AP Accredited Spanish Teacher – AP Central, Dual Certification Spanish I and II Teacher, ESL certified, Creator of 8th grade Spanish I Program, various years of interpretation and translation services including the Federal Government.

My Spanish classes follow the ACTFL Standards of foreign language: communication, culture, connections, comparisons, and communities. I focus mostly on grammar and speaking skills and incorporate listening, culture and reading.

ESL/ESOL

The purpose of my ESL tutoring is to help students become fluent in English, to be able to function in society, communicate on a daily basis, and continue in education. I specialize in conversation and grammar.

I received my ESL Certification from Wilkes University in 2010. I did my field study at Wyoming Seminary Upper School in Edwardsville, PA.
