Hi! My name is John and I am a rising sophomore at Juniata College. I am pursuing either a mathematics or chemistry degree there and am in the pre-medicine program. I am a dedicated and strong student. I graduated second in my high school class at Greencastle Antrim High School and have maintained a 4.0 so far in college. I scored a 2200 on the SAT (800 W, 700 CR, 720 M) and a 800 on the SAT Chemistry subject test. I got 5s on the AP Literature, Language, Psychology, and Government exams.
I have tutoring experience from both high school and college. In high school, I was a peer tutor as well as a private tutor for a student who went to Mercersburg Academy taking precalculus. In college I am a calculus I tutor. When tutoring I try my best to make sure the student understands the concepts, and doesn't just memorize how to do problems. I believe this will help greatly in both the short and long term. I feel most comfortable tutoring in math subjects, especially calculus I. I have also tutored for SAT prep. I also took Organic Chemistry this year and can tutor in that.
