My degree is in Applied Mathematics (summa cum laude) and I am LT unemployed out of the insurance industry. I am looking to fill in my income deficit with a group of students to tutor. SAT tutoring would be a strong area for me as would coursework from Algebra 1 and up. Although I am a direct speaker, I think I am upbeat enough to keep students interested. Any students under 8th grade would need to be good students looking to excel in Math. No proficiency requirements on older students. Sr. Calculus, Trig. & statistics may require supplying spare copy of text material in advance. Very generous on time (I don't clockwatch).

I will adjust my rates up or down depending on if we can pair or triple up students, or if students come to me. I am willing to travel, but will need to adjust my fee to cover my mileage. I will do road tutoring in a private home, public library or in a classroom if student can arrange for room access. Two hour minimum on road trips out of Schuylkill County (preferably 3-4 hours).

####
Actuarial Science

In the early part of my insurance career, I worked as an actuary and have completed parts 1-6 of the CAS exam syllabus (which was 10 at the time).

####
Praxis

Although I am not a teacher by trade, with my own mathematics background, I am well qualified to assist adults looking to pass the PRAXIS exam with their needs in the Math portion of the exam.

####
TEAS

The TEAS test is a diverse test needed to enter nursing school. While it contains very specific science questions, it also contains much of the material you would find on the SAT. TEAS candidates likely need mathematics help as math may not be a focal point as they try to move on to Nursing School. Given my extensive Mathematics background, I can help interested students prepare for that portion of the exam.
