I believe learning Chinese is easy, simply and fun.
I have a Master's Degree in Public Administration from Fairleigh Dickinson University of New Jersey and a Bachelor's Degree in Science of Law from NanKai University of China. I was sworn in as a U.S. citizen in 2005 and speak both English and Mandarin Chinese.
I have been a bilingual teacher teaching Mandarin Chinese for over 10 years. My students include children and adults. My class will cover Pinyin, vocabulary, sentences, grammar, and Chinese history. My goal is to help all my students to be able to listen, speak, read and write Mandarin Chinese.
On 11/10/2009, I attained 16 points (the maximum score) on the Mandarin 16 Point Proficiency Exam on listing comprehension, free composition, translation into and from Chinese, and essay writing administered by the Foreign Language Proficiency Testing Service of the New York University of Continuing and Professional Studies.
On 11/11/2009, I attained a Superior rating (highest of 10 certified rating levels) from the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages for Oral Proficiency Interview in Mandarin Chinese.
For college students who want to earn extra credit, I can also help you prepare for the Oral Proficiency Interview (OPI Test) Test and New York University Mandarin 16 Point Proficiency Exam on listening comprehension, free composition, translation into and from Chinese, and essay writing (NYU Exam).
