I've had eight years of experience working with elementary level students in all subject areas, four of those years after college. My first priority when meeting students or possible clients to tutor is to get to know that person. I will sit down with your child and figure out what type of learner they are and what strategies work for them. After figuring out the best way to attack your child's academic problems, we will compile a list of short term goals that they want to reach during the tutoring sessions. At the conclusion of each session, I will ask your child what they think they accomplished and where they need improvement. By having your child more involved and focused on achieving each short term goal, it will take the pressure off of them in the classroom and help in achieving their long term goals at school.
