GMAT

My qualification for tutoring GMAT is based upon (1) my academic record and (2) my workplace experience. Academic achievements include a BS (with honors)in Applied Physics and a Doctorate in Engineering Physics from Oxford University. This academic background requires considerably more advanced mathematical and analytical skills than are required for the GMAT. On the management front, I moved from a staff position at Oxford University to industry in 1974 as a section manager for the aerospace division of a privately owned instrumentation company. In 1982 I set up a subsidiary company specializing in aerospace products, with the position of VP/General Manager. Subsequently I became Engineering Vice President for the entire company. Over the last 20 years I have given technical presentations and workshops throughout Europe and North America, to delegations from China, Russia, and to NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization). I retired in 2004 to pursue my strongest interest - a career as a personal tutor.

GRE

I offer (as with for all my courses) the unique Oxford University tutoring style for the GRE, which is one of my most popular tutoring subjects.

My experience over the last 10 years is that most GRE students are accomplished in the arts, but have difficulty with mathematical analysis.

I am always pleased to be able to help anyone who is ready to commit to succeed.

Approved Subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet certified in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
