I recently graduated from Indiana University with a Ph.D. in physics. My expertise is in the physics of scattering phenomena. My graduate school experience imparted a robust knowledge of all of physics, from mechanics to optics to electromagnetism and cosmology. Additionally, I have an extensive knowledge of mathematics across a broad range of topics.

I teach math and physics with a holistic approach to build an understanding of the topic of concern, not merely to answer homework questions. I am a native English speaker with strong communication skills. I appreciate your taking the time to contact me. Thank you.

Kind regards,

Paul

Paul's subjects

####
Algebra 1

I passed prealgebra with perfect grades in junior high school and earned a B.A. in Mathematics from Alfred University. I'm very happy to offer you my services as a tutor.

####
Algebra 2

I received my BA in mathematics and astrophysics in 2006, and I recently completed my PhD in physics. I teach with a holistic approach and attempt to relate ideas to previously learned facts. I've had much success tutoring others at college and hope to help you too.

####
Prealgebra

I passed prealgebra with perfect grades in junior high school and earned a B.A. in Mathematics from Alfred University. I'm very happy to offer you my services as a tutor.

####
Trigonometry

I obtained straight A's in mathematics classes in high school, got my bachelor's degree in physics and mathematics from Alfred University, and went on to get my PhD in Physics from Indiana University. I have a solid understanding of mathematics, and my background in physics gives me an even greater knowledge of trigonometry.

####
SAT Math

I scored exceptionally well on the SAT math test and went on to major in Math and Physics at Alfred University. I later obtained my Ph.D. in physics from Indiana University. I have taught math and science at the college level, as well as the elementary school level.

####
Elementary Math

I received perfect grades in my elementary school math classes and graduated with a B.A. in Mathematics from Alfred University. I'd be more than happy to act as a tutor for you.

####
Differential Equations

I tutored differential equations in 2005 for an undergraduate student. My experience as a physics Ph.D. has provided me with the knowledge needed to solve most (solvable) differential equations.

####
MATLAB

My undergraduate honors thesis entailed developing a code in MATLAB to analyze photographs. The work encompassed developing a GUI and running automated routines on the intensity within the images. I've also written Monte Carlo simulations in MATLAB to model the formation of the asteroid belt, and I've successfully translated a star building code from FORTRAN 77 into MATLAB.

####
Mathematica

I have extensive experience using Mathematica. A large portion of my graduate thesis involved using Mathematica in several ways, including calculating magnetic fields, developing Monte Carlo simulations, and calculating the expected scattering patterns of particles from ordered structures. In addition, I've used Mathematica to analyze "big data".

####
Python

My work in graduate school involved writing many programs in Python. I've written a code to simultaneously control a Gaussmeter, a power supply, and a motor system using python.SERIAL and NIDAQmx protocols. I've used Python to analyze "big data", and developed a financial-tracking program with a GUI using TkInter. I recently graduated from Indiana University with a Ph.D. in physics.
