My degrees in physics are from the following universities: B.A. from Temple University, M.A. from Brandeis University and Ph.D. from Temple University. Full time faculty positions were held at Christian Brothers College in Memphis, TN, University of North Carolina at Charlotte, NC, Southern Polytechnic University in Marietta, GA and Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, GA.
Adjunct positions have been held at Emory University, Georgia Perimeter College, Agnes Scott College, The Lovett School(a private K-12 school in Atlanta, GA.) Teaching has been mainly at the college level, but included 5 years of teaching and tutoring at the Lovett School at the high school level.
I have taught physics for many years. My teaching goal has been to give students the understanding and the skills which are needed to do very well in taking physics tests, which is the typical manner of earning good grades in physics. Over the years, my students have done very well.
This method of teaching has been applied to tutoring individual students with the same degree of success.
Physics is a difficult challenge and my own struggles to master it have given me both an understanding of how best to learn this subject and the ability to advise students on ways to study. I have lots of patience and enjoy preparing students for success.
