I recently completed my PhD in nuclear engineering at Penn State. I have successfully instructed physics and several engineering courses at Penn State. During my undergraduate studies, I was employed by the university as a peer tutor for many of the mathematics, science, and engineering courses offered at the university.

Throughout my academic studies, I have tutored students of all ages to improved grades in the following areas: Physics, Chemistry, Algebra, Calculus, Trig, Geometry, Computer Programming, Statistics, and Engineering Principles (Statics, Dynamics, Fluid Flow, and Heat Transfer).

Elementary (K-6th)

I have tutored students at various ages primarily in math and sciences, but have also assisted students in other subjects such as geography, social studies, and grammar.

C++

I have successfully completed several courses in computer programming using the C++ language. I have also tutored fellow students through the university tutoring center.

MCAT

I have successfully tutored previous students in the key physical sciences subject areas of general chemistry and physics in preparation for MCAT testing. These students have performed well on this section of the MCAT.

AutoCAD

I was taught AUTOCAD as part of my engineering curriculum. I have also utilized and successfully taught AutoCAD as a portion of the introduction to engineering course.

Fortran

I have experience with several versions of FORTRAN including, FORTRAN77, FORTRAN95, and Compaq Visual Fortran. My undergraduate and graduate theses included creation of several programs for post processing of data and additional analysis. These programs included I/O portions to enable multiple uses.

Mechanical Engineering

I have a PhD in Nuclear Engineering with research focus in Thermal Hydraulics. I am currently an instructor of mechanical engineering technology.
