I am a full-time chemistry professor at Indiana University of PA (IUP). My teaching schedule at IUP starts on Monday evening and ends on Thursday at noon, leaving Thursday evening until Sunday available for tutoring. Previously, I taught at a few high schools, community colleges and universities (Phillips Academy, Andover, MA; Harrisburg Area Community College; Juniata College, Huntingdon, PA; Shippensburg University of PA, to name some). I have a Ph.D degree in chemistry but I also have an AA degree in science education with emphasis on teaching chemistry at the high school level. So I can easily tutor at both high school and college level. AP chem students or regular high school chem students may employ my services. I can also give university-bound high school students an idea of what to expect in the university and what areas of chemistry and math they should be very proficient in.
I can teach organic chemistry, but I prefer to teach general chemistry for those majoring in chemistry or pre-medical (or pre-nursing) university students because I have taught general chemistry at the university more so than any other branch of chemistry.
I also have a book on study skills, and can give high school or university students valuable tips on how to study chemistry effectively.
