I am especially interested in tutoring math at all grade levels. This is my fourth year tutoring through WyzAnt, and I am currently tutoring a high school student and a middle school student in Pre algebra and Algebra 2. Additionally, I have prepared students for GRE and SAT tests. I also was employed at Hampton Middle School in the learning support room from 1996-2008 and volunteered as a math tutor there. In addition, I have tutored kids over the summer to refresh and update their math skills from elementary through college level. I enjoy working with kids of all ages and abilities.

Algebra 1

Algebra 1 involves solving equations and inequalities including those involving absolute value, studying relationships, functions, and function properties,and examining linear functions and linear inequalities.

In addition, systems of equations and systems of inequalities are studied, using data analysis and probability to solve problems.

Also, in Algebra 1 polynomials are introduced including factoring and quadratic and exponential functions are solved.

Algebra 2

Algebra 2 reviews basic algebraic principles and covers topics such as solving linear, absolute value, and radical equations.

Also, there is extensive study of functions, linear functions and systems, polynomials, exponents, and quadratic functions.

In addition, matrices, logarithms, parabolas, and circles are studied.
