Hello there!
My name is Paul. I grew up speaking English and Spanish. I will be graduating from Temple University May 2013 with a degree in Spanish and I am simultaneously completing a Pre-Medicine track to be eligible to apply to medical colleges and universities this June of 2013. I am currently preparing for the Medical College Admission Test, MCAT. Outside of school, I volunteer as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and an operator for a crisis / suicide prevention hotline. My future goal is to become a physician or work with the federal government being bilingual.
I am not here to help someone pass an exam; I am here to help instill core values of pertinent subject(s) to move forward and in a targeted area. I never believed in memorization; I have always believed in application. Though both subjects such as Spanish and organic chemistry require memorization, it is important to be able to really apply the knowledge in real life scenarios. For example, just because you complete one chapter about converting ethanol into ethane does not mean you will not see the theory again for other reactions! That is the basis of how I tutor: focusing on the grand spectrum in order to be able to see how important topics are continuous as one advances in a specific course.
I hope I can be of assistance in your advancement!
