Would you like to learn a language from an experienced interpreter who uses it professionally every day on his job? If you would, then read on! I have been active as a telephonic and on-site French-English interpreter providing both consecutive and simultaneous interpretation services for years. I have Bachelor's and Master's degrees in French. I am also a certified French court interpreter in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Additionally, I possess an extensive private tutor experience in teaching all levels of French to students of different age groups. My teaching approach and skills are enhanced through daily interpreting activities involving the usage of the French language at a highly complex level, where both accuracy and speed are of paramount importance. I am one of the few French tutors, who are also professional interpreters. Not only do I have a mastery of the language, but I also literally "live and breathe" French by enhancing and solidifying constantly my expertise through work. Unlike certain instructors, whose knowledge and teaching techniques are outdated and limited to rigid, standard French from books published years ago, I am an expert in modern, vibrant, ever-evolving French language ranging from highly formal to colloquial, slang registries as it is written and spoken not only in Europe, but also in Canada. I am convinced that a language acquisition process should be as diversified and creative as possible. Therefore, my teaching approach incorporates not only the conventional learning of grammar and vocabulary, but also the use of a wide range of learning materials and the communicative style of student-instructor interaction geared toward the development of speaking skills mirroring the speech of native speakers. I am a very patient, caring instructor passionate about his subject of expertise. I believe in the power of individual approach to every student and the importance of having an instructor's undivided attention during a study session. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
