Dear pupil,

I know that mine is one many profiles you will have reviewed before making your final choice. I am sure that there are many excellent tutors out there, who can offer you a high quality of instruction, mentorship and advice. I am privileged to say that I am one of these tutors. I have 15 plus years of university level teaching experience during which I have taught at four different institutions, ranging from an Ivy League college to the largest public university in the United States.

I have also taught graduate level courses for several years, including Master's level teacher preparation courses in the most prestigious Teacher Education program in the country.

Always one of the most popular instructors at every institution, I have a long history and great deal of experience in working with students one on one in independent studies and tutoring sessions, so much so that many of my independent studies have turned into regular lectures after becoming "over-crowded!" In all of my instructional sessions I use Socratic Seminar style teaching in every subject suitable for this approach. It is engaging and highly effective at teaching the material, and for something that is over two thousand years old, has many proven benefits and lasting effects.

I am trilingual in English, Russian, and French, but speak four other languages at various degrees of efficiency. I have lived in two dozen countries and traveled in many more.

I am currently a professor at a well known private university in Philadelphia. In my pursuit of tutorship I hope to continue to educate and mould young minds, which I think is a single most important task in this exciting and fast changing global environment of the 21st century.

Thank you for reading and please feel free to contact me at any time!

A Perfect Pick My 18 year old son came home from his first lesson bursting with excitement. "Mom, he is a perfect pick." He went on to say that Aleks spoke to him in Russian and let him try to put some sentences together immediately. They also exchanged a lot of information about Russian culture and politics, which was of great interest to my son. Aleks' stories about his young life in Russia helped my son f ...
