Hello students and parents! My name is Lauren, and I am very passionate about helping my students strive to the best of their ability, while also supporting and catering to their individual needs. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Special Education with a major concentration in Speech-Language Pathology. Currently, I work as an Educational Therapist Practitioner, where I perform individualized instruction with students (ages 5-18) with dyslexia, specific learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, ADHD or ADD, auditory processing disorders, and additional special needs such as anxiety, low self-confidence, and behavioral issues. This entails implementation of individualized multisensory and multimodal lessons that best cater to students' needs and areas for growth. In addition, I perform enrichment tutoring for students who struggle in school within the areas of reading, writing, elementary school math, Algebra I, and organization and study skills. When I begin with each student, I take the time to evaluate his or her current status within each area of difficulty, develop goals he or she desires to achieve, and organize a timeline of when each goal will be met throughout the duration of his or her lesson(s). I thoroughly enjoy getting to know my students and developing beneficial methods together that best support his or her needs. I look forward to hearing from you!
