I am a musician with a diverse combination of education and on-the-job experience. I received my undergraduate degree in music education and am certified to teach general music and all instruments at the K-12 level. My instrumental specialty is the French horn. I have performed professionally and taught French horn lessons for over 10 years. In addition, I have countless years of experience playing and teaching trumpet and flute. I have taught elementary through high school levels of music theory for the Temple University Community Music Scholars Program. Currently, I am a teaching artist for Play On, Philly!
Before I decided to pursue my career in music, I often contemplated life as a marine biologist. I spent 10 years working at an aquarium at the Jersey Shore (Jenkinson's Aquarium). During my employment, I gave informative talks about main exhibits and provided educational programs on various animals within the facility's collection, including African Black-footed Penguins. I helped support feeding, training, enrichment, and conservation initiatives of the aquarium.
