I taught English literature, ESL, algebra, physical science/earth science, history, and theology in private and public schools in Philadelphia and New York. Algebra 1

I taught High School Algebra for more than five years to struggling and gifted learners. To accommodate diverse learners, I created unique activities for differentiated instruction. I developed a unique system of reading equations and solving them based on logic. My method relies on pattern recognition and straightforward strategies that simplify abstract mathematics and makes it easy to solve. I guarantee results after one lesson. I can work with novice or an advanced learner and can accommodate variety of learning styles. Ultimately, my goal is to inspire the love of learning and connection to mathematics that will reduce math anxiety and create a passionate learner.

I have a Bachelor’s Degree in English Literature and a Masters in Education (English/TESL). I specialize in Academic writing (English Literature, Psychology/Sociology, Education, Philosophy and Religion [I have a BA in Theology]). I have extensive experience in Secondary Education and I am currently employed as an Adjunct Writing and Communications Instructor at a University in Philadelphia.


I am bilingual and understand the challenges of learning a second language in an academic setting; I spent years attempting to perfect my knowledge of the English language. I received a Bachelor’s of Arts in English Literature and a Master’s of Science in Education and acquired the necessary tools to educate English Language Learners. I support learning methods that promote bilingualism, multiculturalism and critical literacy. I have deep knowledge of best practices in education and literacy.

I rely on scaffolding techniques to provide optimal support and help students feel empowered and autonomous in the process. I implement fast paced productive lessons which engage students in academically challenged activities. I focus on oral and written language proficiency for social and academic purposes. I set high expectations and always teach information that can be used outside the classroom. My ultimate goal is to inspire students to become independent life-long learners.


I was trained by an Olympic weight Lifting National Champion and a Candidate Master of Sports from Ukraine. I do not support or endorse the use of any supplements during training (100% Natural Training NO protein powder, Creatine etc.). I provide proven methods for strength building (not body building). I guarantee results in strength, speed, flexibility and power. I believe in moderate training using between 95-135 lb. The exercises are done five to six times a week using a standard barbell (44-45 lb) for 25-45 minutes (which could be split up into two or three sessions).

Martial Arts

I have been trained in Striking, Grappling and Combat Arts. I hold ranks in Shotokan Karate, Boxing, Kodokan Judo/Russian Sambo and Brazilian Jiujitsu. I specialize in teaching self defense to children. I do not teach theoretical concepts that are ineffective in real combat. Students learn how to approach one or multiple opponents using the most effective techniques from different combat arts.

Public Speaking

I have been involved in education for 10 years. I took multiple classes in Public Speaking and Communication. I researched topics, organized ideas logically, told personal stories to connect with the audience, provided visual aids (Interactive Power Points, Videos, Picture Slideshows, led discussions and obeyed a strict time constrains. During presentations, I exhibited confidence and poise, handled unexpected issues and remained objective. I can provide training in effective public speaking.
