I am looking to bring new teaching methods to my clients in hopes of building their child's confidence around learning. Currently I work as a substitute teacher and I am certified in Special Education and Early Childhood Education. I have experience teaching middle school math and English and am working on obtaining certifications in both of those areas. I am interested in tutoring children grade K-8.
I have experience working with students who are affected by ADD or ADHD and can provide accommodations to help these students learn. I believe that it is beneficial for students with ADD/ADHD to have lessons that contain a sequence of short activities in order to reinforce one specific skill. I am certified in Special Education.
I have a Special Education degree and have had a great amount of experience working with students with Aspergers. Through my experience in the field I have worked primarily with students in Middle School who have Aspergers but also have worked with Elementary and High School students. I have found that when teaching students with Aspergers it is beneficial to teach to the student's interest, use repetition and organization. Routine can also be a useful strategy. The most important thing when teaching students with disabilities is knowing the students and teaching to their needs.
I have experience working with students with Autism in an Early Intervention classroom as well as in Public Schools. I also have experience working with students with Multiple Disabilities including Autism. I have a degree in Special Education and have work experience in the field.
I am a certified Special Education Teacher. I was an Instructional Assistant at an ESY program in a Life Skills Classroom. I also have experience working with students in learning support classrooms and autistic support classrooms.
I am certified in Special Education and have gained experience in Study Skills from teaching in a Learning Support Classroom. I helped students track and understand their grades. I provided them with different study strategies and worked with students in small groups to instruct them on test preparations. I also taught students about different learning styles and showed them strategies that would work for them. The final component of teaching this class was organization, I organized each student's school materials with them and checked their materials weekly to make sure they were maintaining an organizational system.
