As a state-certified teacher and resident physician in general surgery, I can help you to make connections between facts so you actually understand the science behind what you're learning. I have been preparing students for the MCAT both in large classroom classes and one-on-one tutoring sessions since 2007. I am a surgical resident and enjoy bringing clinical examples to the study of monotonous science in order to make things click. MCAT

I have been teaching and tutoring MCAT since 2007 and have had good results with my students. I scored in the 90th percentile on every section of the MCAT. I have kept up with the recent changes in the MCAT and I am eager to continue to help students succeed.

Biostatistics

I have taken courses in biostatistics in both undergraduate and medical school. I did well in the classes, but where I can benefit students the most is in my practical application of statistics to my research projects as it provides concrete examples of when to use each statistical test and what the results mean. This unique and practical way of approaching statistics one on one with students is beneficial.

Genetics

As a Biochemistry and Molecular Biology major in undergraduate school I took courses in both Molecular and Medical genetics. I Also worked on a research project regarding the genetics of Alzheimer's disease. I have further studied genetics in medical school and look forward to helping students understand topics in population and molecular genetics.

Organic Chemistry

I have been teaching and tutoring MCAT, which includes organic chemistry, since 2007 and have had good results with my students. I received a score of 33 on the MCAT in 2007 - 11 in each section. I have kept up with organic chemistry as I have worked with my students over the past few years.

Pharmacology

As a fourth year medical student, I have used my knowledge of pharmacology in the standardized test setting as well as practically in patient care. I always scored in the top quartile in my medical school class in pharmacology and was at the 90th percentile for both of my USMLE exams (medical licensure) which includes topics in pharmacology.

Nutrition

As a fourth year medical student, I have used Nutrition both in the testing format and practically while caring for patients. I always scored in the top quartile in my medical school class in nutrition and was at the 90th percentile for both of my USMLE exams (medical licensure) which includes topics in nutrition.
