The ability to make a difference in the lives of youth through literacy education prompts me be a tutor. I have a desire to share my love of reading and learning with students so that they will be inspired to achieve and become successful in all areas of their school experiences. I view myself as an educator who is dedicated to empowering students with a sense of accomplishment by instilling an appreciation for reading as a pleasurable, worthwhile, and relevant endeavor. As a result, their personal as well as their academic growth is enhanced.
As a certified Reading Specialist and English teacher, I have experience teaching students of all ages and reading levels. I have prepared lessons based on setting goals for a student's individual needs. This includes an emphasis on phonics, pronunciation, and word development through reading, and usage in writing and speaking. Tutoring is especially beneficial for students because they are given attention that is uninterrupted and lessons that are specialized to promote individual progress. My interest is to contribute my teaching skills, experience, and expertise for the growth of students to raise their reading levels while building confidence and pride in themselves.
