I graduated with honors in Biochemistry with a minor in Rhetoric and Astronomy at my alma mater and am a recognized member of the American Chemical Society (Department of Chemical Education). My strengths are in biochemistry, but I have produced, and was awarded, an honors citation thesis in the fields of Solid State Chemistry and Condensed Matter Physics (superconductors and the like).
I am currently doing graduate level courses at the University of Pennsylvania while teaching high school chemistry (honors and AP) as a Teach for America alumnus in Camden, NJ. In college I have tutored for undergraduate courses and have been a teaching assistant in introductory biology, chemistry, and organic chemistry courses. In addition I am a Red Cross Certified Instructor in Lay CPR, First Aid, Wilderness First Aid, and Professional Rescuer CPR.
On a personal note, I'm friendly, down to earth, and have flexibility in my weekly schedule. In my spare time I have I've written novels and continue to in my spare time. I've done research in fields varying from heart surgery and pediatrics all the way to condensed matter physics. And I often enjoy musical theater, running, and traveling! So it's safe to say I'm a jack of all trades, mastering a few of them. I just hope I can share some of my insights with you!
