I am a highly-motivated teacher dedicated to continuing my own learning and sharing that process with my students. I am confirmed in the belief that teachers gain as much from their students as they give themselves, and I invite my students to think critically and creatively through their subject matter. I am qualified to teach English (literature, reading, vocabulary, and writing), having obtained an MA in English at Marquette University, where I was also awarded the 2012 John D. McCabe Award for Excellence in Teaching.
I also have two years of master's studies in Catholic theology, experience in Greek and Latin reading and writing, a philosophy and history background, and a hobby interest in alternative economics. My philosophy studies, especially in logic, help position me as an ideal test-prep tutor, and the diversity of my educational background otherwise enable me to engage students in a multi-disciplinary and holistic approach to learning.
I look forward to sharing my knowledge and journeying together with my students along a joint path of exploration and learning.
