As an English major at Eastern University, I am passionate about furthering my education. Through my position as a teaching assistant for a college writing class, I have also discovered a love for teaching others and helping them realize their full potential. Although reading and writing are my foremost interests, I also have an aptitude for a variety of other subjects.
I began tutoring elementary-aged children when I was in high school. I helped children with grammar and spelling, and I also helped them complete their homework, organize their time, and prepare for tests in all subjects. With my help, students' grades and confidence improved. I continued tutoring fellow high school students in reading comprehension by creating quizzes and thought-provoking questions to help them engage with the material.
I currently assist the college writing professor at my university. I help the students sharpen their writing skills by helping them organize their thoughts and by meeting one on one to address their personal needs and questions.
I am a patient and understanding individual, and I care about making other people feel comfortable and well-received. I will work with you to discover your learning style and individual needs and do whatever I can to make your tutoring experience a time of learning, hard work, enjoyment and satisfaction.
