Hi Guys!
My name's Emily, I am a freelance corporate photographer (I shoot for companies that are published in Lowe's and Costco catalogs) as well as a fine art photographer and while I enjoy shooting commercially I love fine art photography and have had openings in Chicago, California, and Philadelphia. I graduated with a BFA in Photography from Tyler School of Art, right here in Philadelphia and I specialize in both digital and dark room photographic practices. I also have a background in HTML web design, using Dreamweaver.
I am extremely comfortable with most digital DSLR cameras, particularly Nikon and Canon, as well as medium format digital backed cameras, particularly Mamiya and Hasselblad cameras. I also work in Photoshop and Lightroom daily, so in regards to Adobe programs, you are in good hands! On the analog camera side of things I am also highly skilled in 35mm, medium format, and large format cameras, as well as film processing and dark room printing.
Most importantly though, I really like to make learning these programs and techniques as fun and as interesting as possible for people of any age, so whether you are a beginner, who wants to try out an old manual camera you bought at a thrift store, a student who would like to pursue a degree in photography, or someone looking to make a career out of photography, we can work together to develop anything from standard techniques, to developing a strong fine art/commercial portfolio. As a tutor, I want you get the most out of your experience and make sure you feel our time together was worth it and that you're happy. So if there's something you've always wanted to try out photographically, or are interested in pursuing new avenues in the field, I will make sure that I do my best, so that you can achieve your goal!
