I have taught in a variety of non-school district settings, including teaching English in Mexico, working as a children's minister, and tutoring Spanish. I recently received my M.S. in Education and currently am student teaching, which completes my certification in Elementary Education. I care very much about the educational journey of each one of my students, attempting to see what separates him or her from learning a subject, breaking down that problem into manageable pieces, and together trying to help him or her reach an understanding of the subject. In tutoring, I also seek to make studying and learning a subject into a manageable endeavor that can be accomplished, rather than an overwhelming impossibility. My goal is to empower others to learn without my help.
