I am a college freshman at Temple University's Fox School of Business. I am not entirely experienced as an actual sit down tutor, but I have a lot of experience working with kids and I am very willing and patient with people. I have a fair knowledge of Mathematics (from basic to algebra II) and basic reading and writing skills. I also have the capability to teach very basic Hebrew.

If given the opportunity I will work with my tutee until they understand the concepts to the extent that they should. I am also very comfortable with the Mac operating system and have actually tutored someone in the use of their new Mac computer and I would be willing to do that also. I am a very hands on teacher. I would sit down and help work through homework problems or study for tests in order to keep my tutee a successful student. I am a passionate, patient, and willing college student and I think tutoring would be a rewarding job to have.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Hebrew

I have a decent knowledge of Hebrew and its grammar and I could probably teach elementary basic Hebrew. I have gone to a Hebrew school since I was five years old and I also attending Ramah in the Poconos where Hebrew classes were mandatory for all campers. I am able to teach and read Torah, and well as basic linguistic Hebrew.

Macintosh

I have tutored a professor of archaeology from the University of Pennsylvania in the basic use of his mac. I taught him how to make and format a document, sync his email accounts, set up his calendar, set up his phone book, as well as many other useful commands on Macs. I have personally owned a Mac for about 6 years and am great at teaching computers to people.
