As a professional research-based artist and educator, I like to instill in my students that drawing is as much as an intimate tool to explore personal ideas as it is also a tool to explore elaborate concepts that can serve as structures for their paintings, murals, installations, sculptures, performance art, public/environmental projects, and inventions. I have a BFA with an emphasis on interdisciplinary art in public and installation art with a strong foundation in realism, fiction and experimental drawing and painting. I also hold a Master of Science in Art, Culture and Technology so while I have evolved into a multimedia performance-based artist, designer and inventor, drawing continues to be my most essential medium.

We will also explore the effects of light on form, space, structure, volume, movement, and composition. And we will do all of these, through dry and wet mediums (pencil, charcoal, ink and more).
