Hi everyone! My name is Annalee. I am a 23 year old college grad and book nerd, originally from New Jersey, but living in Philadelphia and working as a Linguistics research assistant at the University of Pennsylvania. I graduated from Rutgers University, New Brunswick, in 2011, with high honors and a 3.7 GPA with a major in English and minor in Philosophy. I am taking time off before going to graduate school in either Education or Library Science. During college, I worked at Plangere Writing Center as a writing tutor. I tutored students in Expository Writing 101, 102, and just about every other writing class offered at Rutgers. I tutored students just out of high-school, and students coming back to school in their 50's. I also tutored ESL students in classes ranging from writing to history. I always got excellent feedback from my students, and I love going to extra mile to help a student "get it." I am also able to tutor high school and middle school students, especially students that are advanced for their age.
But enough about me! Here is what I can offer you:
1.) Are you a college student who needs help improving their papers for a course? I can help you improve your writing, learn how to stay organized, manage your time, edit and proofread your work, and understand what your professor wants. We'll have you earning A's in no time, and have fun while we're at it!
2.) Are you a high school student (or parent) who wants to get better grades in AP English or any other writing intensive course? I got a 5 on the AP test in high school, and I can help you improve your writing. Also, English courses require advanced reading skills, and I have you covered for learning how to read like a college student!
3.) Are you the parent of a middle school student? Is your child an advanced reader who is not being challenged by regular coursework? I can work with your student after school or on weekends to add to their coursework to get them reading more and at a more advanced level. Additionally, I can help students amp up their writing to get ready for high school AP classes.
4.) Are you a business professional or job seeker who wants to improve their writing, correspondence, editing/proofreading skills? I can help!
