Hello there,
My name is Alexandra. I am an American and have been teaching English now for three years. I have an undergraduate degree in International Relations. I have interned at the United Nations, traveled to Romania as a Peace Corps volunteer (where I taught English) and I am beginning my graduate studies in Non-profit management at the University of Pennsylvania this August 2012. I have spent the last year teaching English at Wisconsin's English as a Second Language Institute (W.E.S.L.I), which is an accredited program and well known. I prepared students in an accelerated program to ultimately attend American Universities. I have all my own textbooks and materials to teach you English!
Everyone is different with different goals in mind. Whether you want to learn English to acquire a job in Business, enter into a US University or talk about the latest fashion trends - then I'm the tutor for you!
Lastly, I grew up mainly in Bangkok, Thailand (both of my parents are educators) and I have traveled to over 30 countries. I am very open minded and incredibly patient. I understand that one can't learn if you feel uncomfortable to speak freely. My students always tell me that I create an environment of acceptance and encouragement. :)
