My tutoring experience includes all elementary subjects, including math, reading, and writing. I teach English, Spanish and Italian in both group and one on one tutoring. I began teaching US history and ESL English during my University studies in Washington DC, as a volunteer, both one on one tutoring and in a group setting. I later went on to tutor in Spanish and Italian to adults and children, while living in DC. My work experience included developing literacy programs for local and state government. Realizing that I felt removed from the students and teachers themselves, I returned to study myself and began teaching as a career. After my studies, I moved to Thailand were I taught small groups of western children (from the UK), elementary subjects including math, reading, writing and English. I also tutored Thai students in English language.
My vision is to one day set up a school for interactive learning, incorporating the arts and expression into the learning environment. I am incredibly patient and clear in my communication and love to teach. I believe in finding ways to make subjects accessible to each student, and help them concentrate through interest and by making a subject fun.
