My name is Ryan. I have taught for 3.5 years in middle school, teaching both Mathematics and Technology Education. I have also spent a significant amount of time tutoring SAT/ACT and middle school/high school mathematics. This past year, I was the primary tutor for a 2nd grader beginning a home school program. I have my master's in secondary education, with a focus in mathematics. When tutoring the ACT/SAT I have helped students achieve significant increases, from 100-170 points for the SAT, even if only tutoring one section, and 5-7 points for the ACT.
When tutoring secondary mathematics, my students have raised their grades by at least one full letter grade. In a tutoring environment, I find that trust and enjoyment are extremely important. I want my students to find out time together enjoyable, while understanding that I have their best interests in mind with everything I do.
