Hi, I'm Maura. After 8 years of being a corporate lawyer, I left to pursue my passion for teaching. I recently finished a teacher certification program at St. Joseph's University, and I student-taught at one of Philadelphia's best charter schools.
- I have experience working with students in 2nd grade and from 7th grade to 12th grade.
- My lessons are designed specifically for your child, taking into account their strengths and areas for improvement.
- I believe in using students' interests to get them excited about learning. Whether their passion is sports, nature, science or music, together we will discover ways reading and writing can be fun!
- I have experience with students who have difficulty focusing. I incorporate multiple activities in my lessons to keep students actively engaged and focused.
My love of reading and writing is evident in my enthusiasm for teaching. I believe that all students can learn, and I am committed to helping ALL my students reach their academic goals.
