I recently completed my PhD in Microbiology and Immunology at Drexel University College of Medicine and am currently employed as a post-doctoral research fellow at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Currently, my job involves scientific research in the field of food allergies and also offers me the opportunity to get involved in teaching both medical and graduate students. While in school I found tutoring to be an incredibly helpful way to obtain better grades or just to help with certain parts of classes, and would love to be able to help current students. In addition to my experience in both science and math, I have developed proficient writing skills along my career path. I am happy to proofread papers and offer tips to improve a students writing skills.

Saxophone

I began playing the alto saxophone in 4th grade, roughly 20 years ago. During that time I participated in concert band and jazz band, and also took private lessons. I participated in All County Band my senior year of high school. I continued to play the alto saxophone in college, where I participated in the jazz band, concert band and saxophone quartet as well as taking private lessons. I also have experience playing the soprano saxophone.

Genetics

I have taken courses in genetics at both the undergraduate and graduate level, and thus possess proficiency in basic-to-intermediate genetics concepts.

Microbiology

I hold a PhD in Microbiology and immunology, during graduate school my coursework included classes in Virology, Bacteriology, Parasitology, and Mycology. My thesis researched involved an in depth understanding of virology as well as immunology.
