I am eager to bring secondary science students into the twenty-first century using a unique combination of education experience coupled with nearly a twenty year practical background in engineering and management. I hold a Doctor of Arts Degree in Education, a Master of Business Administration degree in Finance and Risk Management, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry and Biology.
I am subject certified by the Pennsylvania Department of Education in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Education, Middle Level Mathematics, and Middle Level Science. I served on the committees that wrote the Educational Standards for Science and Technology, and Environment and Ecology for Pennsylvania. Most recently, I worked with the committees that wrote the Keystone Examinations in Chemistry and Biology.
I have successfully taught a wide variety of science and math classes in both the Urban Public and Private School setting with courses ranging from AP Chemistry and Environmental Science to Algebra II and Pre-Calculus. I am dedicated, passionate and supportive of STEM education and the accomplishments of my students; believing that we all are capable of learning.
